This project involved completely renovating the entire main floor of the clients residence which included the kitchen, bathroom, living room and hallway. During the demolition phase all the ceilings, drops and valences were removed to increase the overall height of the ceiling, and make the rooms feel larger. The plumbing was completely redone to accommodate the raised ceilings. A new electrical panel was installed to provide additional power for the improved lighting and the addition of radiant electric heating to all the floors. All the conventional light fixtures were removed and 12 pot lights were added to the kitchen, 20 pot lights to the living and dining room, 8 pot lights to the hallways. The clients also requested that we add under counter lighting to the kitchen cabinets as well. The clients wanted a specific style for their kitchen, which was achieved by carefully balancing the counter top colors, tile, backsplash and flooring tile.
The second part of this renovation involved installing new engineered hardwood floors throughout the main floor, except the kitchen and bathroom. All the window casings and baseboards were the same style so the main floor would have a unified look.
Thirdly the bathroom was renovated with new cabinets and countertops and a fresh coat of paint.
