Like many of our clients, this wonderful couple purchased a home they could afford but one that not necessarily met all of their long term needs. They had dreamed since the beginning of getting rid of the small kitchen and dining room and building a large, 400 square foot addition that would include a new kitchen and dining room with enough space to comfortably entertain two or three families. They met us at the Vancouver Home and Garden Show and were so impressed with our team that they saved up their money for four years before giving us a phone call to start the design and build process. The New Westminster addition involved the construction of a new 400 square foot addition and a connection to the existing house.
These photos show the pre-painted, arctic white, HardiFiber cement lap siding. The new, vinyl windows are installed with Victorian style casings. The second photo below depicts the rain screen strips and the siding as it is being installed. As you can see, the roof lines, siding color and design were chosen to match the existing home.
The interior of the new addition features a new large kitchen and dining room and will be the new centre of the home. The kitchen features quartz countertops, low-maintenance, laminate flooring, an abundance of cabinets, a glass tile backsplash, and a large island. A stunning island with an overhang makes the perfect breakfast nook for this family. A variety of lighting was used in this kitchen to ensure every workspace is fully illuminated at all times.
The following photo shows one of our foremen supervising the installation of the concrete foundation slab. We always make sure to have staff onsite when they are needed to assist or supervise subtrades.
We look forward to meeting with you and discussing your renovation or new construction project. Please feel free to give us as little or as much information as you choose.
