The Kitchen & Main Floor Renovation

This renovation project involved installing a completely new kitchen and undertaking a complete renovation of the main floor of this home. Drops were removed to allow the cabinets to go all the way to the ceiling. The remainder of the home’s moldings, casings, doors, flooring, lighting and paint colors were updated to give the home a consistent look and feel.

As part of the renovation the bathroom was completely redone and gutted down to the studs. In the old design, there was some wasted space at the end of the bathtub. This wasted space was replaced with a built-in cabinet that contains three lower drawers and one upper linen cabinet with shelves. As this is a main bathroom servicing several bedrooms a double sink vanity with a his and hers set of drawers was chosen to accommodate two people getting ready for their day simultaneously.

Before & After

The old, out-dated cabinets, flooring and countertops needed to be removed to make way for the new, modern ones. The existing lath and plaster was removed to facilitate the installation of additional lighting and plug circuits required in a modern kitchen. After the electrical was completed, new drywall was installed on the walls and ceiling.

Kitchen

This kitchen has under cabinet lighting as well as new pot lighting. It features hardwood cabinets, quartz counter tops, and a low-maintenance vinyl floor. The modern tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances add some additional wow to this stunning kitchen.

Main Floor Bathroom

Modern LED lighting was used to illuminate the bathroom and an LED light over the shower was added to ensure the shower was fully lit as well. The bathroom features quartz counter tops, brushed nickel fixtures and durable, vinyl plank flooring.
