This back yard was initially unusable, as it was full of overgrown cedar hedges and a rotting deck/gazebo. For this backyard renovation we removed everything from the backyard, including the muddy ground, that caused the existing deck to fail. The muddy ground was replaced with road base to make a solid foundation for the clients new outdoor living space. The paver patio, and artificial grass were placed directly on top of the road base, to make for a low maintenance, long lasting surface. Beautiful whistler stack stone retaining walls were installed on all edges of the back yard to hold a variety of perennial plants. New fencing and lattice work were installed to provide privacy for the home owners. Evening and nighttime landscape lighting was installed to not only add beauty to the backyard, but also to extend the hours that the backyard could be enjoyed. A hot tub was also installed in the back right corner with prewiring.
As part of the backyard landscaping project, the front entrance area and walkway to the backyard were also landscaped. This design made it easy for guests to find their way to the back yard, without having to go through the house. Three basalt pillars four feet tall were buried a foot in the ground to provide the effect you see above. They were also back lit with three lights.
We look forward to meeting with you and discussing your renovation or new construction project. Please feel free to give us as little or as much information as you choose.
