Timber Frame Construction is one of our main specialities and goes hand in hand with one of our other main specialities: natural building. We primarily use No. 1 Select Douglas Fir for all of our Timber Frame structures. We often match the fir structural components with fir soffit, fir trim and fir or maple 2×6 flooring. We use the “simpson strong tie hidden connector series” that allows for no visible brackets between posts, beams and other structural components. During the design phase we ensure the right amount of wood on the interior is balanced with the amount of window space and wall space (drywall and lighting) to ensure that you have a warm and friendly natural home, renovation or addition.
