This project involved completely renovating the entire main floor of the clients’ residence. This included the kitchen, bathroom, living room and hallway. During the demolition phase all the ceilings, drops and valances were removed to increase the overall height of the ceiling and to make the rooms feel larger. The plumbing was completely redone to accommodate the removal of the drops and valances. A new electrical panel was installed to provide additional power for the improved lighting and the addition of radiant electric heating to kitchen and bathroom. All conventional light fixtures were removed and 12 pot lights were added to the kitchen, 20 pot lights were added to the living and dining room and 8 pot lights were added to the hallways. As part of the design process, the clients also requested that we add under counter lighting to the kitchen cabinets.
As part of the design process, the clients also requested that we add under counter lighting to the kitchen cabinets. The clients had a specific style in mind for their kitchen. This style was achieved by carefully balancing the counter top colors, tile, backsplash and flooring tile.
The second part of this renovation involved installing new engineered hardwood floors throughout the main floor, except in the kitchen and bathroom which received updated porcelain floor tile. New window casings and baseboards were installed to complete the modern look of the main floor.
We look forward to meeting with you and discussing your renovation or new construction project. Please feel free to give us as little or as much information as you choose.
