The Design Process:
As this project involves the entire main floor of the house with the kitchen, bathroom and living room areas, as well as the front entrance. Four onsite meetings were required to make the necessary decisions. At all of our meetings, we make sure to listen to the clients needs and wants and give them options that not only suit their style but also their budget. At the following meeting, the clients can see those changes reflected in the actual paper plans. After several meetings, it generally becomes clear to the client that we understand their project and they can see their project and their decisions clearly on paper and they’re ready to begin the build.
This main floor renovation involved, a new floor plan and layout that allowed for a proper kitchen and better access between the new dining room and existing living room. A completely new kitchen was designed around the clients needs and the required functions of the kitchen. A new dining nook was added as well. The living room had a custom design built-in cabinet system added to it for additional storage. The main floor bathroom was completely renovated to reflect the clients design choices and to have a much more modern and sleek feel to it. As part of the renovation the insulation in the ceiling and the walls was also upgraded to make the house warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. A new heat pump system was also added to provide more economical heating and air conditioning in the summer.
