Vancouver Home Makeover

We had previously built an office studio shed for these clients so they were aware of our quality and style, so it was an easy decision for them to hire us again to remodel their entire home. The clients’ home was in decent shape as it stood, but they longed to take the interior finishings to the next level. The main components of this large renovation were a new, re-designed kitchen and dining area, laundry room and interior finish upgrades including wainscotting throughout the home.

The entire house was repainted and mouldings, casings and doors were replaced and updated on the main floor and in the basement. All lighting in the house was replaced, with more modern fixtures. Wainscotting was added to the upper and lower stairs, as well as the family room and the basement. The kitchen was completely renovated with new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, under cabinet lighting, stainless steel appliances, undermount sink and a high CFM kitchen exhaust fan.

The Kitchen

During the design process, the clients expressed the desire to add some uniqueness to their kitchen. One of the things we did to make their ktichen fmore unique was use different colored and styled doors for the upper and lower cabinets. The base cabinets feature a grey bamboo veneer finish whereas the upper cabinets are solid white. Unique teardrop lighting that matches the kitchen exhaust fan was added above the island. A compact island was also added to the kitchen to provide more storage and work space.

Stairs & Rec. Room Wainscotting

One of the things we did to take their home to the next level was add wainscotting and additional mouldings to the hallways and common areas of the home. The wainscotting on the stairs was particularly fun for our carpenters as it involved many different angles. As part of the refresh, the remaining floors of the home were re-carpeted and all electrical plugs, switches and lighting were upgraded.
